The Lamborghini Pregunta Concept car with QuickSilver Exhaust

The Lamborghini Pregunta is part of automotive design history, shaping the future of super car design and pushing the boundaries as they only they know how.

Based off of the Diablo, the Pregunta was a concept car crafted by French coach builders Carrosserie Heuliez-Torino (specialising in prototypes and special cars) with purist Italian styling headed by Marc Deschamps (formerly partner of Lamborghini and Director of Style at Bertone, and successor of Gandini, (designer of the Miura and of the Countach).

The result blended space age and aircraft technology with all muscle raw power and style whilst harnessing a naturally aspirated V12 pushing out 523hp, with a top speed of 208mph and a 0-62mph of 3.9sec.

Its radical styling shone in the otherwise mediocre and tentative decade of the nineties and would go on to influence future super car design i.e. Zonda and the Veyron. Without doubt the Pregunta Helped automotive design move forward bravely into a new Millennium.

Seats pictured are unique to the Pregunta and are G-Force Aviation seats with a little bit more Italian flair.

From the outside The Pregunta has forward facing Fighter jet looks and an overly large rear end reminiscent of another World space ship ready to engage warp speed. The car is also finished with the same paint used on the Dassault Rafale jet fighter pictured in the video

Dripping with LED lights that run above and around you to the floor and using a decorative array of Marelli dials and instruments from Formula 1 of the era the Pregunta truly has the Cockpit feel.

We were then approached to supply the full exhaust system that encompassed the essence of the fighter jet concept. We designed and hand crafted a one off Stainless Steel rear section cross pipes preceded by catalyst delete pipes for the ultimate experience.

.

Obviously with no internals and maximum flow the resulting sound gives the V12 Pregunta that pure fighter jet sound for the occupants at every level. 

.

The Lamborghini Pregunta definitely delivered and was subsequently exhibited at the 1998 Paris and 1999 Geneva motor shows.

Never intended to go onto full scale production the Lamborghini Pregunta remains a fully working one of one concept that goes done in history as a the swan song of Lamborghini as a company in its own right before there full take over of VW-Audi ownership.
