Ferrari 246 Dino Inconel Manifolds from QuickSilver Sound Architects
March 01, 2024
Very special cars deserve very special components and this 246 is no exception. Weight reduction was the customer's brief as the OEM Manifolds add some serious KG. QuickSilver decided to use Inconel which is far stronger than Stainless steel so can be used as a much thinner gauge which achieves all the same principles whilst massively reducing the weight to under half of the original factory parts.
Our Cerakote ceramic coating was applied to help aid heat transfer away from the engine as a thinner metal radiates more heat.
Equally beautiful the raw finish shows off the wonderful colour wave Inconel offers and the impeccable welds our craftsmen are able to achieve.
Below a similar 246 Dino also with QuickSilver equipped, and with it's small in stature appearance, going by modern day standards. Reducing unnecessary areas of weight transforms all aspects of performance for the better.
The customer has replaced steel panels with carbon fibre, used alloy engine block and even reframed the seats in Titanium to achieve their goal.
These manifolds are listed under QuickSilver Special Projects 'QSP' and price is per application please contact us regarding all enquires.
