Jodie Kidd drives Nick Mason's Ferrari 250 GTO and 365 Daytona with QuickSilver Exhausts
July 25, 2023
Two outstanding and iconic Ferraris were showcased recently, both owned by Pink Floyd drummer, Nick Mason and both equipped with QuickSilver heritage exhausts.
Featured together on Jodie Kidd's 'Kidd in a Sweet Shop' YouTube channel, with the screaming V12s in action, they're quite a sight and sound.
QuickSilver are known on the Ferrari exhaust scene, and to date, we've supplied 20% if the World's GTOs.
Why? Well firstly, we make excellent systems, but also like many cars of this era, they weren't built to last. The exhaust systems were particularly susceptible to the elements, sometimes lasting less than 12 months.
Our business was built on providing a better alternative, and since 1973, we've supplied the World's Finest Cars with a more favourable solution.
At QuickSilver, we still pride ourselves on our made-to-order, custom Ferrari heritage exhausts. Built from original patterns in the UK.
We traditionally offer all our heritage systems in type 304 Stainless Steel. This provides excellent durability qualities, and it was used for both of these gorgeous Ferraris.
We can manufacture this in period-correct mild steel. But, for those who want the ultimate performance, we can offer this in Titanium as an ultra-light solution. We can also supply this system in kit OR complete form to suit.
Ferrari 365 Daytona Compitizione
On the 365, you'll notice the conical tail pipes which are as original, although an unusual design.
This tip design works much like a tubular musical instrument with that V12 sound deepened and exaggerated for a fuller effect.
Ferrari 250 GTO
Visible from side on, ground clearance is an issue on these 250s. This one has the iconic SNAP Venturi tail pipes of the era. However, contrary to popular belief, these were NOT provided by Ferrari.
Another GT0 with Customer sourced SNAP tips (which we can add if supplied), the QuickSilver System by default has slash cut inner perforated tips that replicate the factory exhaust from Ferrari.
Probably the most famous 250 GTO in the World, seen here at Goodwood, with Annette Mason behind the wheel.
Great to see and hear both cars being used as they should, long may they and their QuickSilver exhausts continue to shine.
The Wraith was badly damaged in an accident and Matt's famed for comprehensive fixes with high performance cars on YouTube. This Mansory Wraith was no exception, so QuickSilver supplied him special exhaust system.
Its Big and now has the sound to match the looks. This all blacked out Land Rover Defender 130 Diesel gets equipped with the QuickSilver V8 sound track. Proving a popular upgrade for Defender enthusiasts and we can hear why.
