Bernard Kerr's Retro Ferrari Testarossa with supersonic QuickSilver Sport Exhaust and Decat Pipes
August 24, 2023
When someone shows up at our door in a Giallo Modena (Ferrari Yellow) Testarossa, barefoot with their girlfriend and Spaniel in the passenger seat, asking us to make their car as loud as possible...we deliver.
That someone just so happened to be famed mountain biker, Bernard Kerr. Needless to say, his adrenaline fueled personality is certainly suitable for this car.
Blue leather, left hand drive, manual, naturally aspirated flat-twelve. Originally from the Netherlands and registered in 1991, this Testarossa sings to the bygone era shared with the likes of the Lamborghini Countach, Lotus Esprit and the McLaren F1.
Not an easy drive but rewarding when the engine and gearbox warm up and you warm to them. It then feels as if this monstrous flat-twelve is strapped to your back - with all the gutteral tones throughout the rev range resonating through you, this feels more organic than mechanical.
"It's loud" with our less restrictive sport rear section, and catalyst replacement pipes. This is definitely a more purist race car, or an extra from "The Cannonball Run" movie than anything the modern age can really deliver.
Our mirror polished rear box peaks suggestively through the grill behind the prancing horse.
Slight scorching left by the bulky factory catalysts just shows how hot the OEM parts gets. With our straight through pipes this is reduced and thus flow improved.
Finished with slash cut polished tail pipes that match the original trims.
Here at QuickSilver we probably have the most extensive range of heritage Ferrari Sport and replica exhaust components anywhere in the World and have helped owners acheive there desired specification for over 50 years. The Wraith was badly damaged in an accident and Matt's famed for comprehensive fixes with high performance cars on YouTube. This Mansory Wraith was no exception, so QuickSilver supplied him special exhaust system.
Its Big and now has the sound to match the looks. This all blacked out Land Rover Defender 130 Diesel gets equipped with the QuickSilver V8 sound track. Proving a popular upgrade for Defender enthusiasts and we can hear why.
