QuickSilver take on the Porsche 911 992 Dakar

The 911, Porsche's flagship model for over 60 years, and a testament to the brand's quality over time.

 

There isn't much you can critique about these cars, except maybe the looks can be quite similar, and the sound from stock can be a little lacklustre.

 

Porsche have released a few variants of the 911 that differ from the normal design, and the Dakar is certainly one of them.

Built with the style and power of any other 911, but with the ability to bash any sand dune, and tackle any off-road track thrown in its way.

 

As we've had one on the company fleet for over a year now, we've had the amazing opportunity to work on this - of course, the first thing we changed was the livery, so it was properly QuickSilver branded!

 

Due to the stock exhaust being so large, and restrictive, we knew we could improve it in all areas. But we don't just want to make it louder, we want to enhance the overall sound and experience.

 

As we have one here all the time, we've been able to meticulously develop, fit and test this system over many months, without too much of a ticking clock.

Now, we offer this exhaust with a heat cladded rear silencer, which will help with overall temperature reduction during use.

We've also made some lovely 300cpsi race catalysts, which create even better flow for the exhaust gases, and an added bonus, it knocks out the OPFs.

 

If you're worried this will require a remap, don't panic, as we supply OBD terminator connectors with every set of cats, to ensure you can enjoy these without any anxiety about functionality.

 

This is a formidable combination, which really lets this car reach its full potential, meaning every drive is exhilarating.

 

There have been a few variations of this exhaust over the last couple of years, and we're finally at the stage where with happy with the look, the sound and overall experience while driving.
