Heritage Exhaust System for the Wonderful Maserati Khamsin
January 26, 2024
A hot, violent gust…a fine description of a QuickSilver Sport Exhaust! However in the Egyptian desert, that particular type of wind blows for fifty days a year and there’s a word for it…Khamsin.
Quite the apt description when considering these muscle-rich 4.9 V8 Grand Tourers. They beautifully encompass the 1970s post space-age styling with their raked lines and wedge shaped aero looks, cutting through any wind in a seemingly effortless manor.
Brought to us in 1973 from the famed Bertone Design house, these vehicles along with their striking clear rear section, which housed the tail-lights (depending on which side of the pond you’re on!) were made in a limited number totalling less than 500 with production ending in 1982.
We faithfully recreate by hand in Type 304 Stainless Steel a system that looks and most importantly sounds identical to your original exhaust, apart from one crucial feature - our system will last a lifetime.
We also (as with the original) carefully heat wrap the front and mid-interpipes to help reduce 'heat creep' from under the floor pan.
both sections leading into their respective conical shaped mid and rear boxes.
Perforated tubing is also used in all three boxes, which end within the tailpipes for that perfect Khamsin V8 GT sound on every turn.
We also produce Stainless Steel manifolds made in the same process to perfectly accompany your ensemble.
Our heritage systems usually take 3-4 weeks to complete.
The Wraith was badly damaged in an accident and Matt's famed for comprehensive fixes with high performance cars on YouTube. This Mansory Wraith was no exception, so QuickSilver supplied him special exhaust system.
Its Big and now has the sound to match the looks. This all blacked out Land Rover Defender 130 Diesel gets equipped with the QuickSilver V8 sound track. Proving a popular upgrade for Defender enthusiasts and we can hear why.
