Heritage Exhaust for the Spectacular Lancia Fulvia
May 21, 2021
With a motorsport history more successful than a Vampire in a blood bank the Lancia Fulvia has become a special part of automotive history not to be forgotten. So when this loved example turned up unannounced we opened our doors and put the kettle on to chat cars.
.
With its striking two tone paintwork, adorned in sponsorship livery, this Fulvia really looks like it was plucked straight out of a 1970s rally. Amongst other successes The Fulvia won the the Italian National rally Championship 9 consecutive times in a row from 1965 to 1973 and the World Rally championship in 1972.
.
As it was designed to be this Lancia has been driven and seen the World... at speed.
.
The Fulvia was/is front wheel drive and had a trick 5 speed dog leg gear shift and a rare V4 engine. This later model also came with the slightly more powerful 1300 engine to boot.
.
Enthusiast owner Leo traced the cars history back to its original owner in Italy where it was built to competition spec.
.
A welcome sight on a Friday sunny morning here in the UK where our roads and weather can be unforgiving (most of the time).
